FGFOA South Florida Chapter Meeting Fall, 2025
The pace of new GASB Statements has slowed, but understanding and applying them remains challenging. This presentation will focus on solving the major implementation issues related to the standards on compensated absences, risk disclosures, the financial reporting model, and capital asset disclosures, as well as recent GASB implementation guidance and a forthcoming Statement on subsequent events. Time permitting, we also will cover the status of ongoing GASB projects related to infrastructure assets, going concern and severe financial stress, and revenue and expense recognition.
